Education

Experience

Marlene has been at the Mulford Library since April 1992. In her tenure at the Mulford Library, she has been Reference Librarian, Coordinator of Reference Services, Head of Reference and Research Services, Head of Information Services, Assistant Director for Library Services, and is currently the Senior Librarian for the Health Science Campus and Director of Assessment and Special Projects. She is responsible for managing the Library in the absence of the Medical Librarian, and participates in many of the educational activities of the Information Services Department. She has been an active participant in OhioLINK, including serving as chair of the User Services Committee (1997-1999), conducting regional training in teh OhioLINK databases interface, and participating in several subcommittees of the User Services Committee.

Her previous positions include Circulation/Reference Librarian/Education Coordinator at the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine (1985-1991); Computer Services, Young Adult, and Interlibrary Loan Librarian at the Mansfield-Richland County Public Library (1984-85); and Science Librarian (1982-1984) and Serials Cataloger (1979-1981) at Wright State University.
