Professional Experience 

As Manuscripts Librarian and Assistant University Archivist for The Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections since December 2005, Professor Brownlee is primarily responsible for collecting, preserving, organizing, and providing access to manuscripts collections, as well as, under the guidance of the Center’s Director, Barbara Floyd, over-seeing the processing work of part-time and student employees.  She also serves as assistant to Canaday Center Director and University Archivist, Barbara Floyd.

Previous positions include:

  • March 2004-December 2005:  Visiting Instructor, Manuscripts Assistant, The Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections.
  •  2001-2004:  Part-time Manuscripts Processor, Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections.
  •  Summer 2001:  Archival Intern, Center, Bowling Green State University.
  •  1998-2002:  Part-time Reference Librarian, Carlson Library.
